Patek Philippe Calatrava ref. 1513 „Pink on Pink” – one of the most appreciated vintage watches by Patek Philippe. This reference was introduced in the late 30s and was quite a large watch for the time, but it is the perfect size for today’s standards. Furthermore, the flat bezel makes the watch look even bigger than it is in description.
The star of the show, of course, is the watch’s Stern Frères-made “pink” dial in very good, original condition, high untouched indelebile and light patina – very rare in this reference.
Fine, oversized, 18K rose gold wristwatch. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives, very rare Patek Philippe original vintage leather box, rose gold Patek Philippe buckle and unworn vintage alligator Patek Philippe strap.
Case: Two-body, polished and brushed, straight curved lugs, flat bezel, snap-on case back. Very good condition.
Dial: The star of the show, Stern Frères-made “pink” dial with applied pink gold Arabic numerals and indelebile black baton indexes, subsidiary dial for the seconds, outer minute track. Pink gold baton hands. Dial confirmed by the Extract from the Archives – „Satine-finished rose dial”.
